Elizabeth Anne, daughter of the Reverend Patrick Maxwell, was born in 1817, and therefore about 8 years old in this picture. Sold as a pair. Framed by Samuel Dixon of Gt Portland Street (1820-1839) labelled - would restore well (original water gilding under later gold paint). The photographs do not show the true colours of the paintings
